I had a great stay at Royal Hideaway as a hurricane Dean evacuee. The hotel is located in a fantastic spot close to the pool, which was awesome, and in a very convenient location. However, the rooms were quite noisy at times.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On one hand, the rooms were too noisy for my liking as my first-floor room faced the busy main road. The hotel is downtown with lower prices compared to others, but the rooms are bigger and offer a very nice view of the sunrise over Merida Centro.

The service was great, the staff were gracious, extremely helpful, and friendly. I was very impressed with their hospitality. They also provided helpful amenities like room service, car hire, housekeeping, and tours/ticket assistance.

The hotel's location wasn't the best, but it turned out to be good as it has a nice little restaurant and is fantastic for walking around the center. It's a short distance walk to the Centro, making it convenient for exploring the area. The strong A/C and shower, along with the pleasant staff, made it all value for money.
